S0888 — Consumer Transparency for Homeowners' Insurance
Senate Bill 888 was filed to require residential property insurers to include rate transparency reports in filings with the Office of Insurance Regulation and to provide such reports to consumers.
The bill would have required certain rate filings from residential property insurers to include rate transparency reports. Insurers would have been required to provide these reports to consumers. The bill specified that certain information in such reports would not be classified as a trade secret and would not be subject to certain public records exemptions.
